Do you run on hyper speed? Do you feel like you run on hyper speed? may be a better question. I have recently recognized I can operate on a false sense of urgency which increases my anxiety and actually shuts me down. How can we stop feeling like we must hurry? I am in the final stages of proofing Everybody Lies. I will be scheduling book signings in the local communities. What do you pay attention to? I am often drawn to sounds that disrupt my thought process, whether I want to pay attention to them or not. Clicking pens, ticking clocks, anything that makes a sound on repeat, distract me so much that I no longer focus on what is important. How about you? Can you see my cat? What is the difference between those two words? Think about that for a minute. I can move and make no forward progress. I can act on that movement.
